Customer Story
Watt Charger
We wanted a better way to manage our growing installation operation. Our installers needed easy access to job information on site, while our office team needed live updates in HubSpot to keep everything moving smoothly from sale through to completion.
About Watt Charger
WattCharger is a leading Dublin based EV and renewables installer. The business started with EV chargers before expanding into solar and battery storage. Quattro first worked with WattCharger to build its brand, website and HubSpot CRM. This gave the business the digital tools it needed to manage enquiries, sales and installations as it grew. A few years later, WattCharger returned to us to build on our original work and help manage its growing installation operation.
The Challenge
The first project had a clear focus: help WattCharger stand out in a competitive market with a strong brand, professional website and connected CRM to streamline their processes and data storage.
At the time, the business was a growing start-up in a market where EV and solar installation was becoming increasingly competitive and commoditised. WattCharger wanted to offer a more considered service, taking the time to specify the right products for every customer.
When WattCharger returned to us, the challenge had changed. The business had grown and needed a better way to manage the delivery of installations. The team also needed a simple way for installers to access their jobs and send information back to head office.
The Goal
The first project was about building the foundations for growth, creating a strong brand, a professional website and a CRM setup that could support the customer and their specific sales journey.
The second project was due to the success of the first project. It was about building on those foundations and extending them into the installation process and increased demand.
The goal was to create a dedicated Installer Portal, integrate it with HubSpot and give WattCharger a better way to manage installations from the point a deal is won through to completion.
Quattro’s Strategy
The first time around, we focused on the customer journey. We created the brand and website and built a connected HubSpot setup with online calculators, CRM pipelines, lead management and automation.
The second time, we focused on the installation journey, building a bespoke portal that connects to the new projects pipeline in their CRM. This gave their installers access to the information they need onsite while providing the head office team with live updates in HubSpot.
We designed and developed an Installer Portal that works in sync with HubSpot. We also introduced HubSpot’s new project pipeline to separate the installation process from the sales process, with automation helping move information from a closed won deal into a project workflow.
This created a connected journey from deal → project → installer → completed installation.
The Solution
The original work, we created the brand identity, a custom HubSpot website, online calculators and an integrated CRM environment. Custom pipelines, CRM cards, lead routing and automation connected the customer journey from initial enquiry through to sales and installation.
For the latest project, we designed and developed a dedicated portal for WattCharger's installers.
Once logged in, installers can see their installation jobs in one place, including upcoming, in-progress and completed work. They can open an individual installation to view the information they need, including the customer, address, installation date and key installation requirements.
The portal also allows installers to update the installation, add notes, upload site photos and capture customer and installer signatures.
It also generates a PDF summarising the job is complete, which is shared with the customer and admin team as confirmation.
Most importantly, the portal works in sync with WattCharger's HubSpot portal. The information installers see comes from HubSpot, while information submitted through the portal is fed back into the CRM.
HubSpot Projects and Automation
Behind the portal, we extended WattCharger's existing HubSpot setup.
Deals continue to hold the key commercial information, while the new project object is used to manage the installation once a deal is closed won. Project pipelines, properties and automation help the team track each installation and understand where it is in the process.
This builds on the CRM pipelines, CRM cards and automation created during the original project, extending HubSpot from a sales and marketing platform into a system that also supports opperations, servicing and installation delivery.
The Result
The original project gave WattCharger the digital foundations to support its growth, from its brand and website through to its HubSpot CRM, sales processes and automation. The business has since grown to more than 15 installers and become a preferred EV installer for a number of leading dealerships in Ireland.
When WattCharger returned to Quattro, the focus had shifted from winning and managing work to managing the delivery of installations.
The new Installer Portal gives installers a simple way to access their jobs and submit information from site, while working directly with the HubSpot backend. Behind this, HubSpot Projects, deal pipelines and automation give the WattCharger team a clearer view of each installation and how it is progressing.
Together, the two projects have created a connected digital system that supports WattCharger from initial enquiry and sale through to project delivery and installation completion — giving the business the tools to manage its continued growth.
