What is CRM Implementation
and how can it help my business?
CRM implementation is the process of configuring a CRM to hold a businesses customer data and interactions. Once configured the CRM becomes the foundation on which all customer facing processes are built off.
Our CRM implementation service helps businesses setup and configure the HubSpot smart CRM - an industry leading CRM designed for mid market and enterprise organisations looking for fast deployment, ease of use and quick ROI. Often ease of use suggests simple functionality, but the HubSpot CRM is ideally suited to complex data sets and organisational processes.
Getting Started with CRM Implementation
We offer two types of CRM implementation service, designed to support two types of business.
1. Businesses new to CRM
2. Businesses looking to migrate away from their old CRM

OPTION ONE
Businesses new
to CRM
Typically businesses who are new to the concept of a CRM, manage their organisation using spreadsheets and on premise databases.
CRM data is typically stored in Objects. In HubSpot there are four standard Objects, Contact, Companies, Deals and Tickets. In addition to these objects HubSpot offers custom objects which can hold relational data associated with any of the standard objects. An example of a custom object could be Subscriptions for a membership organization or Contracts for a service business.
OPTION TWO
Businesses migrating away
from their old CRM
Businesses who already have a CRM are typically looking for a CRM migration to overcome issues like overly complex processes, corrupt or inefficient data sets, or just systems that won’t scale.
In this scenario our CRM implementation service will help these businesses organise and enhance their data set with the specific goal of achieving highly efficient processes and, as is often the case, better user adoption.
CRM implementation can be purchased as a standalone service, but we often recommend that it is purchased in conjunction with our CRM data modeling service.
A CRM data model is a plan that details how the data within a CRM system should be structured and organised.
Having this plan helps ensure successful CRM implementation and is ideally suited for scenarios where a business doesn’t really understand its customer data or how it should be organised within a CRM.
The CRM Implementation process
As advanced implementation certified HubSpot Partners, we’ve been implementing HubSpot CRMs for over 10 years. In that time we’ve built a process that is not only effective, but fast to deploy, ensuring businesses achieve a fast ROI in their move to HubSpot CRM.
Our CRM implementation service has 6 key stages that take the data model and CRM architecture developed during data modeling and bring to life.
CRM implementation builds the foundation of the CRM, ordering your customer data in a way that is easy to use and access.
Once this step is complete the next step is to build the processes that sit on top of that data using Hubspot’s productivity and automation tools. This process is undertaken during HubSpot Onboarding.

The process
Object Creation
The first stage of CRM implementation is to configure the objects that will hold your data and how those objects are associated with one another. Out of the box, HubSpot has Contact, Company, Deal and Ticket Objects, but Custom Objects can also be used to build data sets that sit outside of these four objects
Property configuration
Once your CRM objects are created, the next step is to create the properties that will hold your data. During this step we specify internal values, property groups and create CRM cards to hold the properties. If you are having an API integration between HubSpot and an ERP for example we will create an api mapping document at this stage. The API mapping document details all of the properties in HubSpot, the objects they sit on, internal values and potential values alongside receiving properties in the connecting system.
Record Customisation
The next step is to customise each object record to display the right data to the right team. One of the advantages of HubSpot is that different teams can see different data sets. Custom single objects reports can also be created to surface key information on a record to help users easily understand their data.
Data Migration
With the CRM configured the next step is to test it with sample data. Typically we import a single row of data across all of your CRM objects. The purpose of this step is to ensure that your data is presented in the most effect way. Often at this stage modifications and adjustments are made to the configuration. Once data testing is complete we will import all of your data. For clients new to HubSpot this is done manually, for clients migrating from another platform to HubSpot this is often done via integration.
Data Segments
Once your data is in the HubSpot CRM the next step is segment it in preparation for the teams using it, for example marketing teams will want to see prospects and leads whereas sales teams will want to prospect and opportunities. During this phase we create filtered views and lists.
Reporting
The final step in CRM implementation is reporting. During this step we create dashboards for each team to help them easily see the data they need in one place. Reporting dashboards can be configured at user, team and board level with automated sharing to ensure everyone gets the data they need when they need it
